So….I usually try to keep my personal stuff off of the blog….but as life goes, it tends to spill over at some points, and this is one of them. My husband and I went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to shoot a destination wedding and many of you have asked how our trip was…..as you can see below the resort was quite luxurious….although, our last day there, we spent visiting a little girl named Luisa, who we just started supporting through Compassion a few months ago. This was an amazing experience and deserved a slideshow with some compelling text. If it makes you uncomfortable….good, hopefully to take action. It surely has caused Tim and I to, again, rethink choices we’re making…..I would love your feedback - not on my photos….but on how this reforms your thinking. I hope to return soon.

What a wedding filled with color and emotion! This was the first night, I will get the second ceremony up soon! A beautiful bride and fabulous henna, couldn’t photograph that enough! Enjoy your preview!

The wedding party entered the reception to “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash, but sadly didn’t connect the two until after I shot this….yes I do dye my hair! This was shot in the lobby of the bride and grooms hotel during the salad course! …my favorite yet!

Well, I am off to a destination wedding (mini vacation!) for Joel & Alison! My hubby and I are sitting here in Detroit Metro Airport, waiting to leave! Please note to all friends, and clients…that I will not have my cell phone on - T Mobile told me that every incoming call to that area is $1.75….you don’t want to know how many calls I get a day! This has been great weather for sessions….it was perfectly cloudy this day, and made for great lighting. I love the old bus station we found downtown…I wish I could buy it…it was great for pics. Well, here is a blog post with 4 sessions in one…two fabulous families, a great group of kids, and a senior. As many of you know, you will not find a family gallery on my website…because I don’t shoot just “family” sessions…..here are some great examples of the candid type of family photos that I DO like to shoot.

The girls in a dress….they’re mom is donating her dress to group of woman over in Africa who will make a business out of renting american wedding dresses to others. She wanted to get some pics taken before she sent it…this is what we got! ….and a couple group shots.

This is john, amy, and their adorable daughter Alexa….who just turned 1. Isn’t she a doll! Wow John, you’d better have a good plan for when the boys come knockin’!! John is the videographer of Coastline Studios…that just shot my TTD today…more on that later!

I recently spent some time with these two fabulous boys….who were a blast you can see! Never a dull moment. We did get some adorable ones together, but I had already picked out so many, I had to skip those for the blog….
